 Hometown Showdown 

It is Gameday and a Hometown Showdown between the Jackson County Panthers and the East Jackson Eagles! JV boys get the night started at 4:30, with varsity girls at 6 and boys at 7:30! We hope to have a packed gymnasium tonight as our two JCSS high schools compete on the hardwood!

 Jazz Concert & Dessert 

Bring your friends and family to enjoy the soulful tunes of our talented high school jazz ensemble while treating yourself to a delightful array of desserts. It's the perfect blend of music and sweetness!

 JCHS Holiday Meal 

The JCHS Cafeteria staff is whipping up a spectacular holiday feast for all students and staff on Friday, December 15th. Make sure to bring your appetite because it's going to be a mouthwatering meal you won't want to miss!

Let's also take a moment to appreciate all the hard work our cafeteria staff puts into making these delicious meals possible. We're truly grateful for their dedication!

Positions available include: K-12 Teachers, Special Education Teachers, Paraprofessionals, School Food Nutrition, Transportation, Custodial, Student Support Services and Facilities and Maintenance!

Congratulations to Caroline Sheridan from Jackson County High School! Her original penguin artwork has been chosen to adorn the Georgia Department of Education's Christmas tree as a beautiful ornament, continuing a yearly tradition. Caroline's dedication and artistic talent have earned her this well-deserved recognition. We are extremely proud of her achievement and the festive spirit she brings to the holiday season!

JCHS Senior, Takara Aguilar was the first WBL student to participate with our new healthcare partner, Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS). She works at the Gainesville Emergency Room, and is gaining valuable insight and experience. Takara plans to enroll in Emory University where she will pursue a Biology degree then enter medical school. Her long term goal is to become a Pediatric Trauma Surgeon. Thanks to Mrs. Amy Poole and the NGHS Workforce Development Team for partnering with our WBL program.

 Jackson County Community Outreach Scholarship Opportunities 

Each year the JCCO awards SCHOLARSHIPS to deserving Jackson County high school students planning to attend college and technical schools. Presently the Jackson County Community Outreach with the help of SPONSORS and ENDOWMENT fund has given scholarships totaling $300,000.00 since 1998. Each year JCCO provides an ever growing amount of additional scholarships to Jackson County students.

SWIM FINISHES 2nd, CHANTHAVONG QUALIFIES 

The Swim Cats took home second place at Frances Meadows Aquatic Center this weekend.

Highlighting the day was Sky Chanthavong's state qualifying (and school record) run in the 100 meter breaststroke.  

BOYS WRESTLING WINS AT ELBERT COUNTY

Boys wrestling continued winning this week, taking the Granite City Duals at Elbert County by defeating four opponents head to head.

PANTHER BASKETBALL CONTINUES TO IMPROVE

Both Girls and Boys Basketball seem to be right on the edge of taking off this season.

The boys basketball team won a close game over Flowery Branch on Monday, and lost two very close games on the road this week (Franklin County and Cedar Shoals).

The girls lost three games this week, all three by less than ten points and all were close games until the very end.
