EXAM EXEMPTION POLICY
High school seniors with an A average in the course will be exempt from the final exam for that course. Students in grades 9-11 may not exempt final exams.
A final exam does NOT include an EOC, EOPA, or other mandated test.
Students and parents/guardians will be notified in advance if a student is exempt from a final exam.

Jaxco Spikeball Tournament
Get ready to spike, dive, and dominate! We're thrilled to announce the upcoming JCHS Spikeball Tournament happening on April 18th! Whether you're a seasoned pro or a newbie eager to learn, this event promises excitement and fun for everyone.
Date: Thursday, April 18th
Time: 3:30 PM
Location: Band Practice Field
Registration Deadline: April 4th
Entry Fee: $10 (two players per team)
GIRL and BOY brackets: Gather your partner and compete for a chance to showcase your skills!
Prizes: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in both brackets will receive prizes. So, bring your A-game and aim for the top spot!
How to Register: To secure your spot in the tournament, simply fill out this Google Form with your team details. Don't wait until the last minute – registration ends on April 4th!

Class AAAAAA Athletic Director of the Year
Congratulations to Jackson County High School Athletic Director Brad Hayes, who was named the Class AAAAAA Athletic Director of the Year during a ceremony on Monday. Hayes was named the Region 8 Athletic Director of the Year in January.

JCHS Key Club Awards 2023-2024
The Jackson County Key Club came away from the 2024 Georgia Key Club Service and Leadership Conference with 11 awards recognizing the service projects completed by the 129 members of the JCHS Key Club led by advisor Amy Powers.
Single Service Award in the Platinum Division for our Pen Pal Project which included making a picture frame from our December Pen Pal Party as a gift to our pen pals and going to the schools in April for a kickball party to spend time with our pen pals before the school year ended.
1st Place in the Promotional Video Contest for the video created by our Editor, Kattie Foerman.
Dr. Robert Barron Outstanding Community Service Award for work during Suicide Prevention Week to bring awareness and mental health tips to students. *We have won this award for 5 years in a row!
Signature Service Award for our Blessing Bags Project where we collaborated with other clubs at JCHS to collect toiletries and other items for foster children in Jackson County. We donated 100 bags to the Fostering Hope organization.
2nd Place in the Georgia Sheriffs Youth Homes for raising $146 through our Master Key Competition
2nd Place in Major Emphasis Award for our Pen Pal Program and Pen Pal Christmas Party with students at WJES, GSES, and NJES.
2nd Place in the Digital Poster Contest for a Key Club Recruitment poster created by our editor, Kattie Foerman.
3rd Place in Fundraising Excellence for the Master Key Competitions we hold throughout the year to raise funds for GA Sheriffs Youth Homes, United Way, Unicef’s Start Strong Zambia Program, and The Thirst Project.
3rd Place in the Service Initiative Award for raising $215.72 for Unicef's Start Strong Zambia Program through our Master Key Competition

GOLF BEATS EAST JACKSON
BIG WINS for girls and boys golf over East Jackson this week!
SOCCER PICKS UP BIG REGION WINS
On Tuesday night, girls and boys soccer picked up BIG region wins over Shiloh on the road. Our girls also defeated Gainesville this week, while the boys lost on 3 late goals.
LACROSSE IMPROVING EACH WEEK
Our JV Lacrosse program continues to improve! The girls won their THIRD match in a row this week, while the boys got their FIRST ever win as a program!
HUGE NIGHT FOR T&F
On Thursday night, our Track and Field teams excelled at Chestatee, with our girls team finishing first and boys finishing second.
Oumy Gaye broke the school record in the long jump and our girls 4x100 team of Sole Bailey, Ava Borah, Jayln Robinson, and Kamryn Shaw Foreman did the same!
BASEBALL BATTLING
Varsity Baseball picked up a big REGION win over Lanier this week. They dropped two heartbreakers to Gainesville, both by one run. They will have a busy week this week, with four games.
TENNIS SHINING IN REGION
Girls Tennis remained undefeated in region play this week, while the boys are still in contention for a state playoff spot
