AP Exam Registration
AP Exam Registration is LIVE for all students taking AP courses in the spring of 2024!!
Students must complete the two-step registration and payment process by March 1st at 11:59 PM.
After 12:01 AM on March 2, 2024 students will be charged a late fee of $ 40.00 per exam.
Parents and students can locate the AP testing exam schedule, AP Spring Testing Letter, and link to the Total Registration website at our JCHS AP web page.
Any student having trouble accessing their College Board account may contact the College Board directly by calling 1-866-315-6068.

EXAM EXEMPTION POLICY
High school seniors with an A average in the course will be exempt from the final exam for that course. Students in grades 9-11 may not exempt final exams.
A final exam does NOT include an EOC, EOPA, or other mandated test.
Students and parents/guardians will be notified in advance if a student is exempt from a final exam.

Schramm Commits to Piedmont University
Congratulations on Louie Schramm committing to Piedmont University in the sport of cycling. He is the first Jackson County student to commit to racing at the collegiate level.

Dance Team Interest Meeting
Calling all dancers! JCHS will have a competitive dance team next year during the winter season. We will perform at home basketball games and compete in the GHSA. An interest meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 6 during advisement in the CAFE. Please see Mrs. Ware in the dance studio with any questions.

Northeast Georgia Regional Student Technology Competition Winners
Congratulations to Baileigh Cox for achieving 1st place in Graphic Design! A big shoutout to Colby Choate and Carlos Revilla Luzardo for securing 2nd place in Video Production at the Northeast Georgia Regional Student Technology Competition last Saturday!
Baileigh has earned a spot to compete at the state level in the Georgia Student Technology Competition on Saturday, March 2nd. Best of luck, Baileigh, as you showcase your skills and creativity at the state!
Jackson Student Leadership Team
Jackson Student Leadership Team, made up of juniors and seniors from Jackson County High School and East Jackson Comprehensive High School, spent Monday, January 22 at the Georgia State Capitol meeting with legislators, state leaders, and lobbyists, observing the Senate from the gallery, and touring the House of Representatives and Senate Chambers. JSLT members learned more about the day-to-day operations of the Capitol, the importance of relationships, opportunities available for internships and employment, and observed many levels of Georgia leadership.
ESP Club New Year's Celebration
Our Extra Special People (ESP) Mentors and teachers worked hard to create an unforgettable New Year's celebration for our members! We enjoyed crafts, photo booths, Just Dance, and a delicious meal from Warren's Breakfast Bar and Grill. Spending time with our ESP family is always a pleasure. Here's to more memorable moments together!
AP Statistic Hands-on Learning
This week in Ms. Carter's and Ms. Scott's AP Statistics classes, students are delving into the concepts of correlation and regression. As part of their hands-on learning experience, they gathered preliminary data in anticipation of the upcoming activity: orchestrating bungee jumps for their Barbies and superheroes from the second floor of the school by the end of the unit. The featured students are: Emma Kate Johnson, Jordan Ryder, & Tristan Couturie
District 14 Music Educator of the Year
Congratulations to Jackson County High School Band Director William Kilgore, who was named the Georgia Music Educators Association's District 14 Music Educator of the Year!
Region 8-AAAAAA Athletic Director of the Year
Congratulations to Jackson County High School Athletic Director Brad Hayes, who was named the Region 8-AAAAAA Athletic Director of the Year. This award is determined and voted upon by athletic directors from within the region, and represents Mr. Hayes' dedication to JCHS athletics!
Work-Based Learning Spotlight
JCHS Senior, Cowan Sutton is a construction apprentice at ER Snell for WBL. He is working on the Interstate 85 project just below the Banks Crossing exit. Today, he was running the sheep’s foot machine, and is working towards more heavy equipment certifications to increase his skill set. Cowan took CTAE classes in the construction, agricultural, and foods pathways to identify his career interest. He plans to go full time with ER Snell upon graduation.
