JCHS Student Drivers:
Please be reminded of the importance of driving safely as you travel to and from JCHS each day. Your safety and the safety of others are of utmost importance and it is vital that each of you give your full attention and drive with caution to and from campus. On days when the weather or traffic is not ideal, such as a day with rain, snow, or road backups, we ask that you take even greater precautions and drive with patience, attention, and care as you travel to and from campus. Also, please remember to wear your seatbelt.
Click HERE to view parking maps and student driver entry and exit points.
Students must follow the correct traffic patterns as indicated by markings and signage in the parking lots. Drivers should be courteous and cautious at all times.
The JCHS Campus speed limit is 10 mph.
JCHS Car Riders:
Please use the official car rider line to drop off and pick up students. Cars dropping off in the morning spend no more than 3-5 minutes in our car line, and the car pickup line in the afternoon is usually clear by 3:25!
Please refrain from making U-turns or passing cars in the car rider line.
Let's continue to be good neighbors and avoid using/parking in the Braselton Farms and Charlotte Estates subdivisions as an alternative to the JCHS car rider line.
Please refrain from picking up students and making U-turns on Skelton Rd.
Please abide by the signals of our School Crossing Guards.
Following these guidelines will avoid vehicular accidents while keeping pedestrians and students safe.
Thank you for working with us to help make our drop-off and pick-up car lines as safe and efficient as possible!

For el Día de los Muertos, Mrs. Chase's students from Mexico dressed in traditional make-up and taught the rest of the class all about the holiday. The students focused on the different symbols that are present during the holiday. Afterwards, all of the students in the class rotated through stations, creating the different objects that cover a typical "ofrenda". Students created papel picado (decorative paper), calaveras (skulls), alebrijes (mythical creatures) and cempasuchiles (marigolds). The class "ofrenda" is located outside of Mrs. Chase's classroom on upstairs B Hall.
