The Probe College Fairs are great opportunities for students to attend in order to get more information about many options available after high school.  There are two local fairs in Gainesville and Athens.

The Rotary Student of the Month program recognizes achievement, leadership, and helps to support high school students in their transition to higher education.

During the months of September through May, high school students are selected by the high school's faculty and staff based upon their:

Drama Club's next meeting is September 14th. This club is open to all students at JCHS. Drama Club members will be invited to participate in all drama-related activities including the State One-Act Competition held during the fall semester. Drama Club Sponsor: Mrs. Emily Taylor 

The Everything Is Possible Mindset teaches that we are all capable of living extraordinary lives. Robert Watson and Natalie Peterson were selected as Mindset Heroes for representing the Everything is Possible Mindset at Jackson County High School.

We are proud to announce our Jackson County High School Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Danette O'Kelley, and Support Person of the Year, Mrs. Briann Nash.

FOOTBALL CONTINUES TO PLAY WELL

Panther football came up just short on Friday at against 7A Mountain View, despite a great effort.  A late touchdown that would have tied the game was called back, but our Panthers held their own. 

We host our first REGION GAME (N.Forsyth) this Friday AT HOME!

The JV Panthers upped their record to 3-0 with a final minute, 22-21 win over Cherokee Bluff.

VOLLEYBALL IMPROVES TO 22-2

Panther Volleyball picked up 4 more wins this week, defeating Banks County, Stephens County, Gainesville, and Habersham Central.  The team is currently ranked 11th in Class 6A.

A GREAT DAY FOR CROSS COUNTRY

Cross Country ran at Milton Saturday.  The girls finished 8th overall in a tough field of 20 schools. Erin O'Brien finished 7th out of 160+ individual runners.  Anna Warren and Morgan Eldridge finished Top 25.  The Boys were once again led by Freshmen Brody Wooten and Adam Thomas.

BIG REGION WINS FOR SOFTBALL

A HUGE NIGHT at North Forsyth for our Panther Softball Program.  The varsity team defeated the Region #1 Raiders 2-1, and the JV finished up the night with a win as well.

Hali Chase is excited to join Panther Nation this year!  This is her 10th year teaching.  Mrs. Chase is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina and she received her undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University. Mrs. Chase earned a master's degree from Georgia Southern University and a specialist degree from Piedmont University. During undergrad, she lived in Madrid, Spain and fell in love with the Spanish language and culture! She hopes to bring that love to her students and light their fire for all things Spanish!  Mrs. Chase is married to her best friend and they have two adorable kiddos!  They have a wild 3 year old little boy and sweet 2 month old little girl. They also have a loving 6 year old pup and Mrs. Chase loves to run outside with her! When she is not teaching she loves to be outdoors and spending time with her family. 

Mrs. Crawford is excited to be a part of the Social Studies Department as a US History Teacher this year. She graduated from the University of North Georgia with her degree in History with Teacher Certification. She also has her Master’s in International Affairs. Mrs. Crawford taught for 9 years in Hall County before coming back home to Jackson County to teach at her alma mater. US History is her favorite class to teach because of the stories and the connections that we can make today. When she is not teaching she enjoys reading and being outside with her husband, Jason, and her son, Cole.  


Mrs. DeShun Grove is an experienced paraprofessional.  She recently joined the SPED department at Jackson County High School and is excited to be a Panther. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Human Services at Shorter University. She enjoys solving puzzles, playing with her dogs, and spending time with her family.
