First Day Forms
Attention Parents/Guardians: We need your immediate attention to complete some essential forms for the 2023-204 academic year at Jackson County High School.
JCHS Parent/Guardian Form: Please complete this digital form with your emergency contact and check-out information. It is required for all students and your prompt reply is greatly appreciated.
Secondary Handbook Sign-off: The Jackson County School System will be using student handbooks for policy and procedure sign-offs. Once you have reviewed the handbook, please sign in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account to acknowledge that you have read and understood the information.
JCSS 2023-24 Medical Form and Occupational Survey Form: Your student was given paper copies of these two important forms on the first day of school. We kindly request that you complete and return the forms to the school as soon as possible.
Immunization Deadline
The deadline for immunizations is rapidly approaching. By September 8, 2023, all 11th graders must submit their up-to-date immunization records to the school.
Please note that on September 18, 2023, any student without proper immunization records, religious exemption, or a confirmed doctor's appointment date will not be allowed to return to school.
For children aged 16 years and older, who are entering 11th grade (including new entrants), a booster dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4) is required, unless the initial dose was administered on or after their 16th birthday.
JCHS Girls' Basketball
If you are interested in playing girls basketball please scan the QR code on the tv screens around the school and fill out the google form. You can also see Coach Thomas in the health room 7209.

As you navigate to school in the mornings, please allow for extra time due to the new 4-way stop on Skelton Road as well as the construction at the corner of Skelton Rd. & 124.

Football Scrimmage
Join the Jackson County School System for a Back-to-School Community Kickoff Event next Thursday, August 10 at 5 p.m. This event will have fun games and food trucks available for families, all leading into the preseason football scrimmage between Jackson County High School at East Jackson High School.
Debate Club & Mock Trial
Are you interested in pursuing a career in law or politics? Consider joining the debate and mock trial club. We will go over the policy of formal debates, academic research, and simulations of real live trials and debates. The club will hold an introductory meeting on Thursday, August 10th after school in room 4108.

School Clinic
The Jackson County School System will no longer be offering over-the-counter medications to students.
Medications including Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Pepto Bismol, Tums and Benadryl will no longer be offered.
If your student(s) will require these medications during school hours, the medication must be brought to the school and registered into the clinic by a parent/guardian.
No medications should be kept in a student’s possession while at school without a physician’s approval and note.

Bus routes for the 2023-24 school year are now available by visiting this link.
Please note: to increase student and driver safety on school buses, the Jackson County School System has increased the number of community bus stops throughout the system.
Student Parking
Any student who will be driving to school will need to complete the Parking Application Form and purchase a parking pass for the 2023-2024 school year. We will start checking for parking passes on Monday, August 14th.
Parking passes for the 2023-2024 school year will be $60.00. You can pay cash, check (make check out to JCHS) or you can pay online through School Pay.
*If you pay by School Pay, please be sure you print out the receipt and present it when you purchase the parking pass. We can not issue a parking pass without proof of payment.
You must show your driver's license when you purchase the parking pass. You will not be able to purchase a parking pass without a driver's license.
Students can purchase parking passes starting on Monday, August 7th from 7:30-8:00 AM in Mrs. Armendariz's office and during all lunches in the cafeteria.

VOLLEYBALL SCRIMMAGE SUCCESS
The defending Region 8-AAAAAA CHAMPIONS headed to East Jackson Thursday night for a pre season tune up against the Eagles.
The Panthers came away with a victory in three sets, and both teams worked on getting ready for the regular season, which begins this week.
TOUCHDOWN CLUB HOSTS COMMUNITY EVENT
The Jackson County Touchdown Club hosted a Season Kickoff event on Friday night in Panther Stadium. It was an amazing evening of fun, fellowship, and football!
The Jackson County "Mom's Clinic" is being hosted Sunday August 6th for our Football moms.
FOOTBALL CAPTAINS NAMED
Friday Night, Coach Mobbs announced the captains for the 2023 football season.
Seniors Peyton Scott and Daniel Stites were selected by their teammates to lead the Panthers into battle this year.
