Hola a todos! So, this is actually my first time in Bascelona so I had a lot of things to process. Torn between meeting the city or trying my best to get to know it's language. I'm starting to realise that there is not much of a difference. Luckily that's an early realisation! I' ve been living in the Tudanzas house for two days now. I was traveling from Athens, I kanda already miss my cat. I had a night flight and as a result a really bad cent lac. Now I am all up for the experiance! I hope that theese months will be really creative as well as challenging. Looking forword for the next day! Every day holds new experiances and maybe a new perspective, and for me probably a better chance to share more thoughts.
Buenas tardes! it's me again. This week I can't decide between keep enjoying the last hot summerlike days ,or looking forword for autumn's breeze, moody weather and rainy mornings. Luckily for me the universe is currently helping me procrastinate on that one! I take long walks with music, trying to check google maps as rarely as possible. Two nights ago, I randomly found this rock bar in Gracia, where I was working on my spanish while listening to proper music. It's called inch bar. It's was pretty cool, because I went there as a last resort because every place I pased by and seemd interesting was crowded. In other news- working in the office of Tudanzas feels right, I'm now in search of new weekly activities and definately a bike. Lalalala. Fin. For now.
Hola a todos! This week turned out to be my favourite so far, mostly because it's important to me to get more connected to the city I'm living in and explore what kind of places or activities I'm vibing with and the ones I'm not. It feels like I'm going in the right direction. I'm also really excited about Merce and all the live music that's ahead of me! ooof. Yesterday I joined a transition ceremony to automn in a feminist group in the center. I'm impressed by the wellcome enviroment I found there. The energy was terrific. For the weekend thouh, I'm going wherever the music takes me. What can go wrong, right? Ok, maybe I'll spend some time with a book I'm currently reading. It's called Aurilia, it's written by a French author/philosopher. So far it's really promising. I got it from Exarchia right before I leave for Barcelona. That reminded of how I miss exarchia. I think this statement is a good closure for today. See ya next week!
Hola a todos! This weather goes perfectely with old greek ballads which I tend to enjoy the last few days. I got a cold after this weekend in the concerts of Merce under the rain. Totally worth it! So I got to be comfortable in my bed - under my blanket for two days straight. It was cool althougt it felt like killing time at some point. Oh well, it's only the 4th week and now I'm all up and running again. Yesterday I visited the Picasso Museum. Wow I really needed that time surrounded by art and getting disconnected by everything else. I suggest combining museum visits with sountraks of your favourite films on your earphones ,If someone is intrested, this always worked for me. It makes the experiance more cinematic. The plan for this weekend is to visit a beach or a park to catch up with my macrame. I hope the weather allows it. If not then some wine in an indoors place whould be nice. In best case scenario both. Lest go with that. Adios por ahora!
Hola a todos! Ι' m not feeling it today. See ya next week!
Hola a todos! This week's highlight was my visit to a cat shelter in Santa Maria de Montcada. I was looking for a place like this to volunteer and it just came up a day we were in the hortet in Born. Gratefull for miss Paloma and her valuable information. It's one of those furtunate coincidences. After the shelter, we took a walk in the village's forest untill we reached a park there. It' was pretty cool and sunny. I started having my morning porridges (anytime during the day) even though the weather is not quite there yet! The one thing I'm a bit bumped about is that I will won't attend The Cure consert in Palau sant Jordi. If anyone has a presale ticket that wont use I'm here for it! eheheh.
Hola a todos! This week was dedicated to cinema and a little bit to friends. I rewatched Kubrick's 'the Shining' on the big screen. Cool guy Kubrick. I also watched a documentary about migration in Balcans in a room inside an old building that used to be a jail. It was interesting. This is week was also the first week of rojo tabu and although I only followed it only for two days, it kinda made both of those days better. Cheers rojo tabu!
Hola a todos! Last weekend was pretty cool, this week not so much. But this is often the case and we got to keep it going :)
Hola a todos! Lest stick to the highlights. Ronnie James Dio documentary on INEDIT festival. Thank me later. Also the presentation of rojo tabu was this weekend. It came out pretty cool, I really enjoyed it. Now I'm fantasising about a weekend away with a tent for spending quality time with myself and others away from the urban crazy. At the same time though, I enjoy the first winter hit in this city. I'll try to please both of my conflicting insticts. Till next time!
Hola a todos! This week I focused on making my room more cozy, I got the two most beautifull plant babies but I haven't named them yet. It will happen soon, once they reveal their special traits hehe. At the same time I enjoyed some time alone which I really needed catching up with friends and family in Greece. Song suggestion: The end of the world by Skeeter Davis, thanks to my friend Chloe. Till next time!
This week got me thinking about the different people's perspectives and when they don't collide, where is the limit after which, these people can't co-exist. Any how, I had a really nice yoga class last monday and it energised my week, so it turned out to be pretty active but calm. Tuesday, at the hortet there was this small activity, where we collected herbs to dry them. The next part was about writting haiku poems, which I hadn't done for years. It reminded me of that poem competition I took part in some years ago and it was the first time that we won an actual prize with my group, cause usually in math competitions you only get their blessing, muahaha. So whatever, till next time!
Mercado last weekend, a lot of footage on youtube!
Till next time!
Okay, lets talk about the picture. Best footage from Athens so far, thanks to my friend mihas. Moving on, these last days went pretty cool, I did everything on my agenda, plus I left some time for my solitude seeking self. So, all good.
Not much to say today, I'm pleased to be where I am and who I am :)
Starting with the picture: It's from a super cool exhibition in the museum of design. The exhibition was about the evolution of fashion during the centuries. This week was pretty interesting for me 'cause it had many - kinda edgy - ups and downs. I enjoyed the melancholic rain, but also the sun in a full day. I'm looking forward to seeing my best friend in the Netherlands and have cosy and unrushed Christmas holidays. Till next time!
Kinda on the edge, desperately waiting for my Christmas days off, I'm here filling this blog. Not for the holiday travelling cliché. It's just that I want to see my best friend after many months, and at the same time to spend some time with myself and my safe people. I'm not complaining, though. This week was a cool one. Forever grateful for Barcelona's small corners of awesomeness! Till next time..
This week's highlight was yesterday's market in a theatre lab in Sant Antoni. Super cool job from every bench, cool people, cozy environment. I'm starting to get the departure blues, but I like the blues. So, I just try to absorb every new experience with grace. Till next time!
These are the final weeks, so there is this bittersweet feeling following the post-holiday melancholia. Loving the combination!
And me, up and going, with a stable tempo, through my every day in Barcelona. Observing, doing, enjoying.
Second to last blog description, unless unforeseen, let's not waste too many words. Till last time :)
This is my last blog, I won't babble too much. Full and grateful for all the experiences, the people and this badass barrio. Nos vemos!
