Group: Cristina Coll, Alaia Millat, Paula Molina, Alícia Muñoz, Pau Pérez
Name of the activity: Tricky post-its!
Short description
This activity consists of a scavenger hunt through which the children will work on prepositions and school-related vocabulary. To do this, they will use augmented reality: they will have to scan some post-its, where they will find an exercise to solve and a clue about where to find the next challenge.
Contextualization
Target Age: Fourth of primary.
Target Language Level (based on CEFR): A1-A2
Location: classroom and playground
Lesson aims. Competencies specifically related to CEFR.
We have chosen to work on:
To understand instructions addressed carefully and slowly to them and follow short, simple directions. (pg. 51. Understanding announcements and instructions). Reception
To interact in a simple way, but communication is totally dependent on repetition at a slower rate, rephrasing and repair. Can ask and answer simple questions, initiate and respond to simple statements in areas of immediate need or on very familiar topics. (pg. 72. Overall oral Interaction). Interaction
To show only limited control of a few simple grammatical structures and sentence patterns in a learnt repertoire. (pg. 132. Grammatical accuracy). Communicative Language Competences (Linguistic Competence)
Learning objectives (SWBATs)
Experiment with Augmented Reality to solve the challenge.
Use the English language to communicate with peers and complete the task in groups.
Put the correct grammar structures in practice in order to create the asked sentences
Create sentences with the correct prepositions.
Preparation for the app task cycle (before the lesson), include an estimate of time needed for prep, and whether in-class or before.

Remember to take into consideration...
It is important to take into consideration that if we do not set up any previous rules to students we could have problems about who scan the codes and who writes the answers. So possible solution could be to set 2 main rules such as:
Every time that students as a group scan a QR code, the students have to pass the device to another student of the group
The same happens with the laminated worksheets so each student would have to write with his/her whiteboard marker (each student has a different colour)
Moreover, a possibility of improvement for the activity would be to assign numbers to each post-it so that the students would start the activity at different points and would not cross each other, in this case the route would have to be circular.
