Toy Party!
Toy Party!
Through the use of a 360º image, along with hotspots in the supplementary materials, young language learners are introduced to vocabulary related to play (toys) and prepositions of place. These materials were created with the 360P app (cellphone) for taking the image and the image was edited and hosted on Memento360. The supplementary interactive materials were created on Genially.

For completing the activity the students must have access to a tablet or computer to visualize the interactive images.
Activity Instructions:
Pre-activity:
Before the activity, the teacher should show students how to move around the app Momento360º so they know how to turn. Moreover, it should also be explained that they can zoom in and out.
Students are reminded of the vocabulary that they have seen in previous lessons. An interactive vocabulary helper is provided.
Main activity:
The teacher shows the instructions (shown in the dot twice in the interactive 360º image) and reads the instructions out loud to the students. "The toys are being very naughty! They are hiding from us! Can you find all of them?"
The teacher makes sure the students understand the instructions.
Individually or in pairs, the learners move around the image and write down the answers in the worksheet (see materials below).
Post activity:
The students use their notes (worksheet) to take the interactive test below.
Other post-activities that can be linked to this mini-lesson:
Students can write their own 'script' for a similar interactive hide-and-seek game. The students will have to decide where to locate different items, look up the key vocabulary and come up with the quiz questions. The teacher does the 360º image editing according to their scripts.
Students can write a story about the toy party.
Supplementary materials
The learners may not be able to recall the locations of the toys in order to complete the test. They can be prompted to take notes with this worksheet.
