Group: Cristina Coll, Zaira González, Alicia Muñoz
Name of the activity: LET'S CREATE IMAGES!
Short Description
This activity follows the reading of the book "It's not easy being a bunny." The students will create funny sentences using vocabulary from the aforementioned book, which will be given in different card formats. Once the sentences are created, they will introduce them into Leonardo.Ai, which will generate diverse images and the students will need to choose one among them. With the chosen image, they will develop a short story that needs to be coherent. Once all the stories are created is now time to share them!
Contextualization
Target Age: 3rd of primary
Target Language Level (based on CEFR): A2
Location: classroom
Lesson Aims:
Competencies specifically related to CEFR:
Production: Students will create original sentences (p. 70)
Interaction: Students will work together to create a story (p. 83)
Learning objectives (SWBATs)
To create funny and well-structured sentences using vocabulary from the book.
To use Leonardo.Ai to generate images appropriately related to their sentences.
To develop a short story using their generated images as a support for structuring their ideas.

Development of the learning situation:
The activity is related to the reading that will be worked on in class, which is, It’s not easy being a bunny. Children will have to take flashcards with words that appear in the book from FOUR different piles (nouns, verbs, and adjectives, animals). After that, they will have to think and note down a funny sentence. Once completed, they will upload it to the website (Leonardo IA), which will generate an image. They will repeat this process three times, and with the resulting images, they will have to create a short story.
Lesson plan:
TIPS TO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT:
After creating the sentence with the chosen words and before introducing the sentence to the AI in order to generate an image, they would have to share their sentence with another group to have a peer review to check if the sentence is correct.
When that has been done, they would have to ask the teacher for a final revision of the sentence.
Finally, when the sentence is well-structured, students would be able to introduce the sentence into the AI generator.
Extension for another session:
In pairs, student 1 chooses an image and describes it. Student 2 has to guess the image based on the description. Then change the rolls.
Another option could be to draw what the other student is describing and then compare the similarities.
Students can share their stories with the class and get feedback from their peers.
They can create illustrations to accompany their stories and turn them into a small book.
Helping materials:
For struggling students, provide sentence starters or picture prompts to help them create their funny sentences and stories.
Assessment:
Observe students' participation in group discussions and their ability to create sentences.
Review their generated images and short stories for vocabulary usage and story structure.
Example of sentences and AI generated imatges:
The beaver is happy because it can fly in winter. 2. The skunk sleeps on a big carrot

VERBS VISUAL AID:
In order to ensure that the sentences are properly developed and, therefore, the story makes sense, we will project a slide where all the appearing verbs in the flashcards are conjugated.
IMPLEMENTATION IN CLASS
PRESENTATION
This is our presentation for the 3rd of October:
EXAMPLES
During our implementation in class, we obtained some feedback and diverse results.
The sentences they created were:
THE BEAR WAS EXCITED TO HANG UPSIDE DOWN, BUT THEN HE HAD A HEADACHE.
THE BUNNY HURRIED TO COOK THE MUD.
HAPPY CARROTS TO HAVE STUNK.
I WAS SAD TO LEAVE WHEN I HEARD A BIRD.
And so, the following pictures represent the different sentences that emerged during the implementation:
