Students have already been introduced to the simple past, regular and irregular. They have been instructed on basic facts of Mediterranean civilization, so they are somewhat familiar with what they will be learning.
Prior to starting the escape room, the students will play a game on Wordwall to warm-up using the simple past tense, this game will be used as the first clue to enter in the escape room.
Once the game is complete, they move onto the 360 camera activity.
Students will have a worksheet that will share the task that they need to do.
The first arrow will take students to a google form for students to write verbs from the introduction activity to activate knowledge from the intro game.
Next, the students will choose which direction they will go, answering questions and gathering information throughout the museum
The goal is to find the clues to exit the Mediterranean section of the museum
In small groups students will discuss, the verbs they say and share any new knowledge about Mediterranean culture that they have learned.
Then, students will write three sentences based on the cultural knowledge they have learned using the simple past tense.
The task will serve as a formative assessment.
