In this activity, students in an EFL class will have the opportunity to develop their linguistic, cultural, and digital competencies. We invite students to immerse themselves in a 360-degree adventure in the canteen, classroom and the gym. Their mission is to save their school.
1st graders (6 years old)

Pre-task 1: Students will learn classroom vocabulary, numbers, school subjects and activities.
Pre-task 2: Students will learn simple constructions and how to ask questions.
Task: Students will go on an adventure solving challenges and saving the school.
Post-task: Students will answer the questions and practise language skills.
In class we have images with names of different class’ objects and spots from school. We have talked about them in previous sessions, but just mentioned them. This way kids would have some knowledge of the vocabulary. During the activity they will be able to look at those resources. The video in 360º is a scaffolding itself because it’s a real context for kids and they will recognise the space.
Assessments in this activity will appear in the answers of the quizz they will have to answer in genially. They will have to mark how many attempts they have done before choosing the right question in a worksheet.
A black hole is trying to eat our school!!! We need you to go through the following challenges to get over it and make him disappear!!! Your task is going through the challenges and answering the questions to save our school.
Get in groups of 4-5 people.
In your groups, go to the Genially to discover the challenges you need to save our school.
After seeing the video of each space (classroom, gym and canteen) answer the questions related to these spaces.
Make sure to:
Group with 4-5 people to start the black hole adventure
Click on the button “Let’s start! Run!”to start playing and discovering the challenges you need to go through to save our school.
Press the purple button to see the first space of our school which is invaded by the black hole.
Click on the small narrow window located at the right side of the top, a new window will be open. Then press the button that will appear on the middle of the screen and you will see the first video.
Move back to the previous window and press the purple button. Then you will need to choose the correct answer.
Keep trying your best to answer the questions if they get wrong, you have more opportunities to save the school!
