"We laugh at old people's houses that have a lot of statues of gnomes, cowboys and other tchotckes... however if you take a look around, you'll find a whole lot of figurines and decorations all with their own style and history.
Short description
This is an information hunt where students hunt for statues in campus, learn the history of each, and answer history/context questions based on each. Finally students write a summary about the entire experience.

Target Age: 10-14/ anyone learning English (E for everyone)

Lesson Aims
Written Production: Students need to summarize an experience which requires writing structure to succinctly describe the experience, and perhaps create new information from a synthesis of the activities. (B1+, B2)
Interaction: Students need to interact successfully based off of a shared activity with fellow peers. They must brainstorm ideas and reach an agreement on outside stimuli. (B1)
