This activity can be used to help the students to develop knowledge regarding recycling. It is a part of a bigger area where the students will learn how to contribute to a more sustainable society.
Activity Intstructions:
The main activity is based on recycling the trash that is in the 360 picture. There are hotspots on the trash that are spread out all over the ground. When the students click on it there will be a bigger picture of the trash and they will be asked in which container it should be thrown. In the picture there is also a trash monster who will hand out a quiz to the students. This is where they will answer the questions about the trash and where it is supposed to be thrown. The activity will be done in pairs to provide opportunities for real communication.
The students will be provided with a pre-task where they will learn about recycling in general and different materials. The teacher will bring trash to the classroom to give the students opportunities to get familiar with them. During the pre-task the students will practice the new vocabulary.
As an after-task, the student will participate in a Kahoot where they practice the different materials in English. This will be done individually to make it easier for the teacher to see if all of the students understand the content and the english language.
