PRE TASK: Students will learn the prepositions in English as well as the parts of the house through a floor plan.
MAIN TASK
Students will need their computers for this activity.
The teacher will explain how the activity works. The class will be divided into 8 groups, but as there are only 4 colours, there will be two groups with the same colour assigned.
There will be 5 Easter eggs of each colour around the Frame VR house, which the students will need to find, only focusing on their team's colour.
For all not to do the same thing, every group will start in a different room, although they will be all following the same itinerary. This is specified in the panels, of VR.
The students will have to follow the clues that are around the house scenery and vote on the polls that are displayed as well, and write the answers on the worksheet they are given. When finding the eggs, they will have to take a photo which each egg that they will after upload to the Padlet forum. In the second worksheet they’ll be doing during the activity, they will fill in the gaps of where they have found the eggs. The teacher will collect after.
Once they found all the eggs, took the photos and answered the polls, students will have to record an audio in which every member of the team will have to speak, saying where they found each egg, that will be uploaded to Frame VR afterwards.
After, the teacher will remind them how to enter FRAME VR, the website that will be using.
POST TASK: Students should record the audios mentioned above.
The assessment for this activity will be carried out in a formative way. This means that it will focus not only on the final results but also on the learning process of the students. Strategies will be used to guide students throughout the activity, giving them opportunities to reflect, improve, and actively engage. Feedback will also be provided to help them identify what they did well and what they can improve on, fostering their motivation and growth.
The following are the tools and methods that will be used for the assessment:
Real-time Observation: The teacher will observe the students during the activity, noting their teamwork, use of language, and ability to follow instructions using a rubric.
Self-assessment Checklist: Students will complete a simple checklist to reflect on their progress and participation after each stage of the activity.
Evaluation of Products: The worksheets, photos, and audios created during the activity will be reviewed to assess language use and task completion.
Participation Certificate: Each student will receive a fun certificate celebrating their achievement in completing the Easter Bunny challenge.
