You can use existing templates (chatbots that have already been created) and personalize them or create new ones from scratch. They have a variety of grade levels, languages, subjects and conversation topics that you can choose or customize.
The Lesson
Introduction:
The chatbot we will be using for this lesson is called Lana and the module is called “Let’s go shopping!” (by Joaquín Ferrada). The prompt reads as follows: “Welcome to Lana's clothing store, here you will find everything you need, different patterns, colors, sizes and shapes.”
This chatbot is good for practicing clothing vocabulary, colors, sizes, and conversation skills through chat.
Contextualization
Target Age - adult learners
Target Language Level (based on CEFR) - A1/A2
Location - Classroom (possibility for a take-home exercise as well)
Instructions:
Choose a destination, time of year, and activity that you need new clothes for.
Example 1: Mexico, summer, a football game, the beach, a museum
Example 2: Colorado, winter, skiing, hiking, the movies
Ask Lana for shopping suggestions based on the context you have chosen.
