Sustained Investigation #12

The goal of this project was to incorperate the music as a part of me so I used this goal to create an idea of the music almost hidden in my hair as well as my clothing to represent the everlasting affects of music through body and soul.

I used acrylic to create solid colors and sharpie to add detail and create a more 2-D elements. Most importantly I used paino music sheets, the peace symbol stands out to cartch the viewers attention and the sweathshirt hood to show what is not as noticable.

While creating this piece I had a lot of contemplating. I really questioned how much I should emphasize the music in the hair and in the clothes especially since I am not as musically inclined as I was when I was younger. I decided to put a bolder statement or element in the front which is the peace sign to almost represent the part of music that is seen and recognized, almost like how I as a person listen to the radio, and spotify, and I have favorite music artist and my friends and family recognize that. The hair and hood are almost supposed to be hidden to show the effects that possibly I know about and feel or those who know me very well as even though it doesn't show it makes a part of my character. I am still contemplating about that peace sign being too bold as it almost doesn't fit into the art and I think that takes away from message and artistic elements.
