The main idea of this artwork was to create art out of a mistake or in this specific case a splotch of ink. Using the splotch of ink I tried to create an illusion of colors bleeding through a neat and organized background. The idea of the piece was to represent that the colors and dark "bleeding" splotches were beautiful in their own way because alone the background is boring and the bleeding colors are boring but together they create a visually pleasing pattern. This idea of this painting/drawing was supposed to relate to how if everything is the same and perfect it would be boring but by adding uniqueness or something special whether that be a person, painting, home, song, or anything, that will add character and make that thing more important.

This artwork was made with thick paper, sharpie, acrylic paints, colored pencils, and mechanical pencils.

At first, when choosing a paper with an ink spot I tried to make a shape or outline with the ink I had received. But as I studied the paper I realized it looked like a is was bleeding so I used that to create the idea of bleeding colors. I created the background to represent the "plain", and "normal" part of the painting. I used the checkered pattern because it is very organized, plain, and uncolorful.
