Beautiful Oops

This art piece was inspired by an ink blob that was already placed on the paper. I envisioned a spider leg when I was walking down the hallway and I completed my art through this inspiration. I was inspired by the hidden design and patterns on spiders that cannot be seen due to their small bodies and fur.

I created this piece of art with the original black ink, graphite pencil to sketch out the design, and gel pen to finalize my design and make it bold.

When creating this art I had a clear invisionof what I wanted to do but I was unsure if I wanted to use colors. I decided it was best to start with a design and see where my art took me. After seeing the final design I decided the bold black against the white stood out enough without colors and really showed how I incorporated the ink splotch. This is why I didn't add color or dimension, along with the fact that this class will be based of of design and I wanted to see what I could create with design alone.
