Acylic Paint, Pen, and Marker on CD
For this project I had my younger self trying to play some notes that warped around to the other side of the disc blowing notes in my older selfs face.
For the materials I wanted to try painting on a CD because the shape and surface directly relate to my sustained investigation. I used acrylic paints to create solid colors then I used sharpie pen to create black outlines and detail, and I finalized my detail with colored markers for clothes and trumpet shading.
This project I wanted to explore a different point of view but I did end up with the two characters in the center becuase the music and the trumpet are supposed to be more of the center focus. To make the trumpet be more a draw to the eye I made the clothing darker and duller colors so the vibrancy of the yellow would stand out and I was hoping the contrast between the white and black music notes would also help highlight the trumpet. I really really and proud of the music notes and how they warp
