Bob Ross Painting

Oil Pastel, Acrylic, and canvas on Drawing Paper
12" x 10"
For this project I followed a Bob Ross tutorial in creating a landscape then when finished I decided how to create the work into something unique and of my own. To do this I created an image of people shaking hands and wearing clothes and jewelry out of the cut out Bob Ross painting.
For materials I originally used acrylic paint on canvas while following the Bob Ross Tutorial. Then on Drawing Paper I used oil pastels to create my hands and the fade.
The process was relatively simple as I just followed along with the tutorial and then oil pastels was mostly paying attention to detail and following the image I had on my phone, but when it came to critiquing there was a lot I noticed from peers and ms. Medskers advice that I want to change. First I want to add more contrast and highlights because I was informed that my drawing looks very flat which makes me inspired to push my darks and lights. Also I want to incorporate more colors, specifically yellow and maybe a blue for colors into the hands.

This is my "Handshake" revised to incorporate what I had previously wished to change and edit. I am much happier with the contrast and colors along with the zentangles and new sleeve I carved that more accurately portrays a sweater.
