Acrylic on canvas paper

The main idea that guided my collage was a theme of brown and cool tones that would blend together into a soft image. The collage guided my painting but I also tried to capture the shapes and colors to be best abilities, marking lines and colors to best represent my collage.

I used printer paper and cardboard paper for my collage because I wanted to have a shaped background to create a pattern and I wanted to print out photos so I could select better photos to provide a theme. For the painting, I used acrylic paint to mix my colors and I used canvas paper to hold and best show the acrylic paint.

I choose a color pattern when making my art because the brown and cool tones always stand out to me, they would also provide a challenge when mixing colors. When it came to the photos I chose to include in my art I was inspired by the flowers on the wallpaper in the book and magazines, but they did not fit in with my color theme so I decided to find some online. I found a very cool cartoon online and decided to add that to the theme, following with a bear to catch the attention of the viewer.Â
