Music Flow
8" X 11"
Origmai Paper, Construction Paper, Black Pen, and Glue
Sketch Idea
In Progress
For this project I tried to express the influence of music through shapes and colors coming out of a radio to express how music shaped and influenced my adolecense.
For materials, I used construction paper and origami paper, some of which I found from my middle school and elementary school art supplies. I used an exacto knife to cut my different layers, and a glue pen as an adhesive. I also used black pen and sharpie to create details and music notes.
For my tenth sustained investigation I wanted to create a more conceptual piece of art instead of a more literal artwork or comparison like #8 and #9. I used paper because it was the materials I had available to me and I wanted to add pen to create more detail. I think incorperating more color and shape into my other projects may help build a stronger 2D design and strengthen my message. Overall I am happy with this project but if I come back to edit this one before I fully submit it I will add more detail to the flowy shapes to create a bigger 'boom', I didn;t want to do this originally in case it create too much chaos and the point and detail was lost.
