Amazon S3 (or Amazon Services ) is where we store our audios and PDFs for programs (as well as in Dropbox)
**Please note MOVING anything in Amazon S3 will change the link, therefore the link to access the audio will no longer work. Make sure you find which page it is on before changing in Amazon, so you can update the link.
Web Page: https://console.aws.amazon.com/console/home
Click S3 - under Storage & Content Delivery

Buckets -
This is where you will see current "Folders" below. Folders can be added as needed. Currently they correspond to our websites
WHAT REGION SHOULD A BUCKET BE CREATED AS
Click on the bucket you want to add the file to.
In the bucket you can see folders (or create a new one) to organize your files. So rather than have all the audios and documents etc in the one main folder or bucket, you can create a Folder for each product (that has multiple files) and keep them together that way
UPLOADING FILES
Choose which bucket you want to upload to and click on the name to open it. You can see the various folders in the bucket. Once you have the correct folder upload your file.
To Upload a File - Click UPLOAD
Click ADD FILES and select the files you wish to add.
Once done - you need to click START UPLOAD
Please ensure that if you are replacing an audio you delete the OLD Audio or document so others aren't confused.
Once uploaded, you will need to edit the Permissions of the files before you give the link away. If you don't give the correct permissions, others may not be able to see it.
Click the name of the File you want to share
Click on Properties in the top right hand corner
Under Permissions you will see ADD MORE PERMISSIONS
In the drop-down menu next to Grantee Select EVERYONE and check OPEN/DOWNLOAD
SAVE the changes.
The blue link on the top right (like above on the right) - Is what you will need for people to be able to listen and view the documents. You will embed this link into a webpage for people to access.
When Audios in the Members Area Aren't Working.
We have checked and all the audios are now working. In the audio link, when there is a space, it automatically counts it and converts that space into a '+' symbol which breaks the link. Therefore, whenever we upload any audio to Amazon, please let's make sure we either use '-' between the name so that the spaces are not auto-converted to '+' symbol.
For instance: If the name of our audio file is Rehal singing songs, we should write it like, Rehal-singing-songs.
Hope that makes sense.
