Check how many sales an affiliate has made.
We do this when an affiliate has contacted us saying something like "I can see 3 affiliate sales in my record, but I have not been paid" or "My affiliate sales are not showing up in my record and I know I've told people"
We need to check in their record what those sales are for and who made them so we can email the affiliate to ensure them that a) they will be paid when their affiliate payment is due or b) they are not due for an affiliate payment because of the reasons below:
The reasons they are not being paid are usually:
The customer didn't use the affiliate's link
The affiliate used their own link to purchase products
The products the customer purchased are not part of the affiliate program
The customer has not yet finished paying off the product
The affiliate is past due for any of their own invoices on any order on any product or program
The affiliate is not paid until a refund period has passed.
Log into IFS and check the following:
The customer didn't use the affiliate's link:
Go to CRM > Referral Partners > Referral Partner Reports > Referral Partner Ledger
Under Referral Partner Info put Referral Partner Name and click Search button
Under Ledger column click on Ledger link
Check that there is no sale recorded for the customer in question
Go to the customer's record, scroll down to Referral Partner Tracking tab and check that there is no Referral partner and history recorded there.
Go to E-Commerce > Orders.
Under Misc Criteria tab, scroll down to Referral Partner and choose the name of the affiliate, click Search button
If any products show up, click on View link to see details
To see if a product is included in commission program:
Go to Go to CRM > Referral Partners
Put in First and Last Name of the affiliate and click Search button
Click on the Edit link to the left of the name
Scroll down to Commissions tab to see commissions
To see what affiliate sees in their affiliate center:
Go to CRM > Referral Partners
Put in First and Last Name of the affiliate and click Search button
Click on the Login link to the right of the name
On the menu on the left click on My Ledger under Reports
Then click on Link Tracking Stats under Reports
To see Products sold click on Products Sold under Reports
The affiliate used their own link to purchase products
Double check that the affiliate and the lead do not have the same mailing or billing address or similar name by checking their Infusionsoft records
The products the customer purchased are not part of the affiliate program
Go to customer's record and scroll down to Orders tab, check the products that the customer purchased
The customer has not yet finished paying off the product
Go to customer's record and scroll down to Orders tab, click on the relevant order
Scroll down to Payment Total and Payment Plan and make sure all the payments are paid off or not
The affiliate is past due for any of their own invoices on any order on any product or program
Go to affiliate's record and scroll down to Orders tab, go through orders and make sure they all are paid off or not
The affiliate is not paid until a refund period has passed
Double check the product/program detail sheet for return periods. If a physical product is returned it will be verified as acceptable before the refund is processed. Where is the product/program detail sheet located

2. They say they referred the person, but the customer didn't use their affiliate link

If not through aff link, we sometime make a 'gesture of good will' by giving client a $200 payment.
First we need to receive an email from the customer confirming they had never heard of the program/product before and only purchased because NAME recommended it to them. They did not decide to purchase because they saw an ad anywhere on the internet.
Respond with email:
Dear NAME
We very much appreciate you spreading the word about the ISCA and you will find info relating to your query about the affiliate payment covered on our Affiliate page (and listed below) which can be found here http://www.inspiredspiritcoachingacademy.com/affiliates (this link may change to WW site in future - check)
"We’ll pay you a commission for every eligible product sale, event registration or program sign up purchased through your affiliate link*. Why do we use an online program rather than another form of referral or commission system? Because it’s easy!
If we had to manually track who made which sale to whom (and people sometimes hear about our program from various sources), it would be an admin challenge. But with our easy online system, you only need to ensure your referral clicks on your affiliate link and the sale is automatically tracked back to you. It doesn’t get any easier (for you and us!)"

1. We can’t be held responsible if you refer your affiliate link to people with computer systems that do not allow the cookies necessary to give you affiliate credit. If you feel this may be an issue, then ask the person you are referring to enable their cookies, only purchase by clicking on your affiliate link and/or email us immediately after they have purchased to advise they have purchased through your affiliate link.
2. We can’t be held responsible if you use your affiliate link in an email or on your website and customers don’t click on your link, or they come to our website through another persons affiliate link, or they have already visited our website or are on our database as a potential customer. If your client has never been to our site, and they click on your affiliate link, our system automatically recognizes them as your client for up to 12 months and you will be paid for that sale – our system does this automatically. This affiliate program is an online program and the only way a sale is linked to you is through your affiliate link. If they come to us any other way the sale cannot be credited to you."
As you can appreciate, the aim of the affiliate program is to make things simple. When an affiliate does not use your affiliate link, then it is not an affiliate referral.
We have in the past offered to make a small payment as a gesture of good will to the affiliate for a sale they refer (this is a one time offer only, if it happens a 2nd or subsequent time there is no payment given) if the person who joined the program from your referral can email us at info@inspiredspiritcoachingacademy.com confirming they had never heard of the program/product before and only purchased because you recommended it to them. Also, they must confirm they did not decide to purchase because they saw an ad anywhere on the internet.
As you can appreciate, this is no longer an affiliate sale as ALL affiliate sales must come through your affiliate link to be classed as an affiliate sale or follow the instructions as per step 1.(above) Although this is not classed as an 'Affiliate Referral' we can offer a $300 goodwill payment as a thank you for recommending the ISCA.
