HOW TO: NEW PODCAST EPISODE PAGE ON MAIN SITE
How long it takes to create a page: Approx. 10-15 mins.
Important to note:
· Make sure you’re logged in to these 3 websites:
Steps in duplicating a page on the WW main site for a podcast website:
Open the template link:
https://www.wildlywealthy.com/podcast/template/
Duplicate the page as draft:
Find the page in the Drafts then click on that title:
Rename the title of the page with the title of the new episode
Change the permalink to the date of the podcast’s published date, ex:
https://www.wildlywealthy.com/podcast/2021-09-13/
Edit the page with Elementor:
Edit the Episode # first, make sure to edit on the HTML code that will show up on the preview screen
Edit the Episode Title, make sure to edit on the Heading section that will show up on the preview screen
Edit the audio player’s code (on the HTML section on the left-side):
Ø Get the link from OMNY
i. Click the title to get the link:
ii. Get from the EMBED tab:
iii. Copy the code on the clipboard:
iv. BUT you will only need the “iframe src” because we want the player to look exactly like it does in the template page, ex
v. Paste it on the HTML section on the page you’re editing for the episode
10. Edit the Episode’s description:
Ø In the episode’s description on OMNY, copy the description:
Ø On the main site page you’re editing, just click the space here (for example):
Ø Then the HTML section on the left-side will show up where you can edit the description
i. Each paragraph is in their own “HTML code”:
ii. Each paragraph is encased in the <div> </div> code
iii. If there’s a link, make sure the link is encased in the <a href=”…”></a> code
Ø Edit the Prosperity Points
i. Editing the list will show up on the left-hand side of the screen:
ii. Click the ‘Title’ and change it:
iii. If more of the list is needed, I would suggest to click ‘Duplicate’ instead of ‘Add Item’:
iv. The reason being: the setting of the item is copied if you do this unlike if you’re adding a new item
11. Click Submit
12. Update the redirection link of the episode
Ø On the back-end, go to ‘Quick Redirects’
Ø Update the ‘Request URL’ to be the link name that shortens the ‘Destination URL’, ex:
Ø Then click ‘Add New Redirects’:
13. Make sure ALL the pages and links related to a podcast are READY to go before it's published
