First of all, Brooklyn Nine Nine is definitely one of my favourite shows and when I first started it, I watched all four seasons that had been released in just under a week (so it’s certainly binge worthy). The show revolves around Brooklyn’s 99th precinct and the lives of the people who work there. As someone who reads and watches a LOT of shows and books that fall under the crime/detective category, I can honestly say that I have never come across one as funny as Brooklyn Nine Nine. However, although being hilarious, the show also addresses important issues that can be related back to our own world such as racial profiling, gender discrimination, and many others, making it more than just a form of entertainment. The show has also been said to be addressing #MeToo in the upcoming sixth season that is set to be released mid next year.

Personally, I think that one of the reasons that so many people are interested in the show, and the reason I would recommend it to so many people, is that it has something for everyone. There is the obvious detective drama, the comedy, the addressing of social topics, and even a bit of romance too.
