BOOK REVIEW

Hermione Granger taught us that reading can save your life.

Literature is an art form that is cherished and loved by many of us within the Nagle College Community. From horror to romance to classic literature, a diverse range of interests and genres are explored by students from the College’s own library collection and their own personal favourite collections. This page showcases the opinions and thoughts of other passionate readers where there is freedom to express your love or concerns with a novel but also a grander opportunity to explore one of Nagle’s core values of Learning. Students when reading, subconsciously become analytical thinkers of a composer’s work through the characters and themes they present. The use of language, setting, characters, plot and techniques are all fundamental components of a novel and students without realising, are the ultimately deciding if these fundamental elements were successful in appealing to their interests and making them want to read more. This page is a platform for individuals to share their thoughts to other avid readers about their feelings, thoughts, commendations and recommendations for a chosen book. A community is thus born, coinciding with our value of Action. A community of readers, sharing ideas, sharing thoughts that provoke conversation and inspire notions which can lead onto grander things to shape our school community and potentially change the world. A community of learning, active, participating students that share one true passion. Reading.
