Note: If you’re using Gmail through your work or school, your organization may restrict email delegation. If you don’t see this setting, contact us.
The person you added will get an email asking them to confirm. It may take up to 24 hours for you to see them as a delegate after they confirm.
Note !! if you cannot see delegation in Gmail/ calendar it needs to be turned on in ADMIN settings:
Show the account owner and the delegate who sent the email—Message headers include the email addresses of the Gmail account owner and the delegate.
Show the account owner only—Message headers include the email address of the Gmail account owner only. The delegate email address is not included.
(Optional) To turn on Gmail delegation for other organizational units, repeat Steps 3 through 8.
It can take up to 24 hours for changes to take effect.
