We are off to a great first week of kindergarten! The students had a great time getting to know our classroom and their new friends! We spent much time learning the rules and routines of school and created art projects to help us remember.
Check it out!
To start our day, we had a 'Kick-Off Assembly' to welcome back all students and staff. We read 'Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten' and discussed how we all got ready for kindergarten. They did a great job! They enjoyed the fresh air and playing with their friends on the playground! We enjoyed our first lunch in the lunchroom!
We learned about using 'Marshmallow Toes' when walking in school. We made a craft to help us remember to always use our 'Marshmallow Toes'! We were able to have playtime and movement breaks to give our brains a break from all of the learning we have been doing! To end the day, we had PAWS Pride Stations and learned more about each place in school.
We learned about good and poor choices in the cafeteria. We made a craft and completed a sort to help us remember! We are doing a great job learning the routines of the lunchroom! We enjoy eating with our friends. We also created a crayon craft that will be on display on the shared kindergarten bulletin board (between the two rooms). Bryson celebrated his birthday by eating with his friends at the café tables. To end the day, we had PAWS Pride Stations and learned more about each place in school.
A HUGE thank you to Kelley Country Creamery for donating ice cream for the whole school. We enjoyed it at the end of the day!
