Second Week

With the help of the American Red Cross, and 'The Pillowcase Project', we learned how to be prepared in case of a tornado. Pedro the Penguin helped us in a story about preparedness. This story came home with your child, so you can share and prepare at home! We also practiced getting into our safe position to protect our head and body! To end our day, we created Pilgrim Boys and Girls.

We learned about another kindergarten friend, Micah!

Today, we created turkeys. They had fun cutting out the feathers because they were able to choose their colors and got to use crazy scissors! We turned these into 'Word Family Turkeys', so there are words on each feather to match the word family on the turkey's body. They did a great job stretching out words to hear the sounds! We read with our Second Grade Reading Buddies! This was our first time meeting with them, and they did a great job!
