To start our day, we got ready for summer by creating a 'Diving Kid'. Our caterpillars really grew over the weekend, and we are hoping to see them in chrysalises later this week! We went on our field trip to Campbellsport High School and potted our beautiful flowers into our decorated pots!
Exciting things are happening in kindergarten! Our caterpillars are in the beginning stages of making their chrysalises, and we continue to watch our marigolds sprout and grow. We began discussing the animal group, birds, and we made our very own flamingo craft.
In writing, we began our animal research, and they all did a great job using PebbleGo to listen, and write, about what their animal looks like, what it eats, and where it lives. To end the day, we watched the 3-5 grade perform their spring concert. We made a 'Camping Kid' craft, and they join our butterflies on the wall.
For snack, we celebrated our hard work on iReady with juice and a piece of candy! Great work kindergarten! This afternoon we put our chrysalises in the butterfly pavilion. Now, we wait!
