Read Across America Week is off to a great start! We had a PAWS Pride Assembly in the gym. We made Thing 1 and Thing 2, along with a Cat in the Hat hat. We learned about another kindergarten friend, Kartson.
Today, we created our March bulletin board craft for the hallway. We made colorful birds in their nests with eggs and leaves. The kids loved creating the nests by drawing big circles with various colors of crayons. Tomorrow, we will add the marker decoration!
In math, we played 'Spill the Beans' and worked on writing partners of 10.
We went on our field trip to CHS. We learned about plant parts, listened to a story, and planted zinnia seeds. Our plants will stay in the greenhouse, and we will get updates on their growth. We read The Lorax and made our very own Lorax. To end the day, we went into the hallway and DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) as a whole school.
