Third Week

Today, we talked about our 'Class Monster'.  Each day we will work to earn a piece by meeting our behavior goal.  Our behavior goal to start the year is 'be ready to learn'.  We talked about how we all need to work together to earn a piece each day.  If we are able to earn all the monster pieces, we will earn an extra recess.

We practiced our workstation rotations, which included our newest workstation: Listening.  They are doing a great job learning with friends and love having the ability to choose!  Check out this awesome math creation students made with pattern blocks and unifex cubes!

It was a beautiful, almost fall, day to play outside!

In  math, we played 'Spill the Beans' and practiced writing numbers 0-5.  Some did this with partners and did a great job!  We cut out our own fall leaves and have them hanging from the ceiling.  It is beginning to look like fall in kindergarten!

Today, we practiced reading the alphabet with a partner.  This was our first time using our 'Reading and Writing' books, and we will use them to practice reading and writing skills.
