Fourth Week

In math, we did gummy bear graphing.  They loved this activity and got to eat them at the end!  We had a picnic lunch in the classroom to celebrate Bear Week.  We created Truffula Trees by crinkling tissue paper.  Last week, we created Thing 1 and Thing 2, and they are hanging up in the hallway.

Today, we read The Lorax and made our very own Lorax.  Our Truffula Trees and Lorax art decorate our classroom bulletin board.  Thanks to everyone who donated items for the Fond du Lac Humane Society!

We started our day with a PAWS Pride assembly.  We created Leprechaun Hats for the shared kindergarten bulletin board.

We created another Dr. Seuss character, Horton, from Horton Hears a WhoTo celebrate Read Across America Week, we had a guest reader who came with a surprise guest, Clover, the reading dog.

In math, we rolled and wrote math equations using 'Red Fish' and 'Blue Fish' from Dr. Seuss.  They did a great job working together!  We learned about another kindergarten friend, Becka.  We ended Read Across America Week by reading schoolwide with our classmates and families.
