Second Week

We learned about good and poor choices in the cafeteria.  We made a craft and completed a sort to help us remember!  We are doing a great job learning the routines of the lunchroom!  We enjoy eating with our friends.  We also created a crayon craft that will be on display in the classroom!

We started the day by using our math trays to work with the numbers 1-5.  We practiced identifying the numbers and making groups to match.  We made a bus craft that will be on display in the hallway.

Today we unscrambled our names and put our letters in order.  They then drew a picture of themselves doing something they enjoy.  We read 'It Looked Like Spilt Milk' and created our very own cloud paintings, which will be made into a class book.  They loved painting their creations!  We reviewed good and poor choices on the playground.  We made a craft to help us remember!  I began assessing them on their capital and lowercase letters, letter sounds, and numbers.  They are doing a great job showing me what they know!

We ended the week by working with partners to match letters to alphabet strips.  We also worked on putting the alphabet in order.
