First Week

We are glad to be back! We reviewed our rules and procedures, and they did a great job transitioning back into our school routine! For writing, we practiced writing CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) words on whiteboards. Ximena celebrated her birthday with friends at the café tables during lunchtime. We created a Thanksgiving Turkey for our shared kindergarten bulletin board. They turned out great!

Today, we had indoor recess. We went outside for morning recess, and the sky opened up right after we got out. They loved spending this time playing with their friends!

In math, we built the numbers 1-10 using 5-groups and square tiles. We focused on the +1 pattern each time we created the next number.

Today, we created Pilgrim Children. In guidance, they had to work with their table friend to color one picture. They did a great job problem solving, and their pictures turned out great!

They had SO much fun playing in the snow at recess! Mrs. Salm took us for two gym times today. They are working through super stations and loving it!
