Fourth Week

This week is all about turkeys, Thanksgiving, and thankfulness! In math, we practiced patterning by coloring the feathers of a turkey in a certain pattern. We read 'There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie' and sequenced everything she swallowed. They absolutely love the 'Old Lady' books! We practiced retelling 'The Night Before Thanksgiving' with our story pieces. They did a great job! We created turkeys headbands, and will wear them tomorrow throughout the day. To end the day, we created a Christmas stocking! I gave each student a 'Thankful Turkey' and told them why I was thankful for them. They loved hearing what I had to say and of course loved the candy body!

We made popsicle stick Christmas tree ornaments. These will be helping to decorate a tree at the Fond du Lac Police Station. They will come home in the New Year! They had a blast making these, and they turned out very cute!

Today, we were able to wear our turkey headbands! We also created a Santa craft for the shared kindergarten bulletin board. To end the day, we had a school-wide movie in the gym. We watched 'Toy Story 4'.
