We had a great 100th Day Celebration and were lucky to have our bears to help us celebrate! In math, we learned how to count by 10's to 100. We put together a 10's number puzzle and created a 10's number strip. For snack, we ate our 100th Day treat! During Daily 5, we shared the items that were brought in, put them into groups of 10, and wrote about them. In writing we completed a sheet where the students had to write what they wanted 100 of, what they could eat 100 of, what they could do 100 of, and what they would buy with $100. They had some very creative ideas! To end the day, we learned about another kindergarten friend, Porter.
We continued to celebrate Bear Week! In math, we graphed gummy bears and even got to eat them! In writing, we described different parts of the stuffed animals we brought. They did a great job coming up with describing words! When they were done writing, they had to color the bear to match their stuffed animal. For lunch, we had a classroom picnic. We ate on the carpet and had a great time sharing lunch with our friends and stuffed animals.
