Fourth Week

In math, we began comparing numbers to see which is greater and lesser. We learned about our second Daily 5 Choice: Work on Writing. We also began an 'I like...' book where students will write about all the things they like. It was a beautiful day to play outside!

In math, we continued to work with the numbers 1-5 and seeing groups of each number. We also talked about circles, squares, and rectangles. We practiced our choices Read to Self and Work on Writing. To end our day, we completed a fall art project. We made an acorn and wrote about what our favorite things in fall are.

We had two kindergarten friends earn a Positive Office Referral! This is very exciting because their referrals got read during announcements for the whole school to hear, and they earned a special lunch privilege. Any student can earn Positive Referrals from any teacher, and the same thing will happen!

We continue to build our stamina by practicing Read to Self and Work on Writing. They are doing a great job with both choices! They began creating sculptures in art with Ms. Koehne and did a great job working hard to build and create! To end our day, we used cars to explore motion.
