We began the week by creating turkeys. They had fun cutting out the feathers because they were able to choose their colors and got to use crazy scissors! We will be turning these into 'Word Family Turkeys', so there will be words on each feather to match the word family on the turkey's body. We also learned about another kindergarten friend, Jace.
Today, we finished our 'Word Family Turkeys', and they did a great job stretching out words to hear the sounds! I put them up in the hallway just in time to help celebrate Thanksgiving!
We started our day off reading with our Second Grade Reading Buddies! This was our first time meeting with them, and they did a great job! In math, we colored, cut, and sequenced numbered turkeys.
