We went on our field trip to Campbellsport High School to pick up the plants we planted in early March. We have been getting updates on their growth, and today, we were able to take them with! The high schoolers helped transplant the flowers into painted pots made with Mrs. Delgado in art class. To end the day, we continue getting ready for summer by creating a 'Diving Kid'.
Our caterpillars really grew over the weekend, and we are hoping to see them in chrysalises later this week! To end the day, we watched the 3-5 grade perform their spring concert.
Exciting things are happening in kindergarten! Our caterpillars are in the beginning stages of making their chrysalises. We went outside for an extra recess to give our brains and bodies a break from testing. We began discussing the animal group, birds, and we made our very own flamingo craft.
In math, we worked together to 'Spill the Beans' and write combinations of 10. In writing, we have been working on our animal research, and they all did a great job using PebbleGo to listen, and write, about what their animal looks like, what it eats, and where it lives. Today, we worked on creating our book covers. One caterpillar is in its chrysalis, and we patiently wait for the others to spin theirs! We also patiently wait for our first marigold bloom!
We have our first marigold bloom! This afternoon we put our chrysalises in the butterfly pavilion. Now, we wait!
