Fourth Week

We learned about another kindergarten friend, Elizabeth.  We have been learning about polar animals, and we began to make our very own polar bear!

It has been indoor recess all week so far.  In the morning, we get to play with toys in the room.  Lunch recess we get time to run around in the gym!  We continued to work on our polar bears by adding the marker details and patterned scarves.  We will work to add glitter snow tomorrow!

Our glittered polar bears are decorating our hallways!  We also created Arctic Animals, and we were able to choose to make an Arctic Seal, Arctic Fox, or Arctic Wolf.

This week, we learned that Emperor Penguins can grow to be 4 feet tall.  In math, we have been working on measuring with classroom items and noticing what is shorter and longer.  Today, we measured out 4 feet and saw which of us were taller and which of us were shorter than an Emperor Penguin.  Most of us were shorter!  We enjoyed another day of playing with toys for indoor recess.
