This week is Fire Safety week, so we will be doing fire-related activities all week! In math, we finished our apple tree project. We learned about our fourth Daily 5 Choice: Read to Someone. They loved being able to share their books and read to each other! We also learned Sight Word Set 1: to, it, me, I, a. To end the day, we began cutting several pieces for our firefighter craft later in the week.
It was a beautiful fall day to play outside!
Today, we completed our firefighter craft, and they turned out great!
We completed a fire safety counting book. We worked on patterning using fire safety pictures. We also practiced counting by building fire towers with cubes. To end our day, we reviewed the equipment and gear a firefighter needs to stay safe and dressed, and colored, our very own firefighter.
We a had a surprise guest come to Eden today! Stella's uncle, Derek Sippel, brought his giant pumpkins to show the school! The giant pumpkin weighed over 1,800 pounds! He also brought smaller pumpkins and gourds. They were SO excited to see pumpkins bigger than them! We also wrote thank yous to the Eden Fire Department for our great field trip!
