In math, we practiced sorting simple shapes (rectangles, squares, circles, triangles) into groups based on similar characteristics (size, color, shape, corners vs. no corners).
We continued to work on sorting objects into groups. Today, we had animal and people cards and worked to sort them into groups based on similar characteristics (animals vs. people, number of legs, ability to fly).
We made a Polar Bear Pal, and they turned out great! This project had us cutting, gluing, and using markers and glitter!
We had such a fun end to the week! The fresh snow was perfect for playing and sledding! (A huge thanks to Mrs. Salm for allowing the kids to use her sleds at recess!) Gavin enjoyed a hot chocolate delivered to him by Ms. Wahlgren. He won this special treat from the PAWS Pride Assembly. To end our day, we began creating a penguin craft. Our Polar Bear Pals joined our Gingerbread Men in the hallway!
