To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, we created a rainbow with a pot of gold. The afternoon was filled with leprechaun shenanigans! We came into a messy classroom with glitter and clovers all over. We found a pot of gold that the leprechaun had left us filled with gold coins, along with Skittles and shamrock necklaces. We created a kid with rainbow hair to go with a rainbow writing. They did an amazing job and came up with very creative ideas! To end the day, we did a Skittles experiment. We put the Skittles in rainbow order, added water, and watched a rainbow flow into the water. We learned about another kindergarten friend, Avery.
Yesterday, we started getting ready for Easter by creating a basket with a construction paper weave and watercolor painting Easter eggs. Today, we finished our Easter basket craft, which is decorating the hallway. We also created our very own Easter Peeps, which are decorating our classroom door!
In math, we have been learning about 3-D shapes, so we explored the shapes to see what we could do with them! To end the day, we made an Easter Bunny craft and will add the marker decoration next week.
