WALT - Use interesting language in our writing
Your mission
Select a well known nursery rhyme. Using the same characters write an alternative plot to the story much like Roald Dahl’s revolting rhymes.
Try to use the all these words in your writing:
Coincidence, observed, blurted, discreetly and ponder
In order to use the words effectively you will need to know what they mean. Prizes will be given to the people who have effectively used these words in their finished writing.

Week 5
WALT - Take care of the little things in our writing
Athletics Day! What an awesome day to try for our 'Personal Best'. In order to tell about our experience the best we can - let's take care of the small things...capital letters, punctuation, interesting vocabulary and more!
The game and mission: You are to complete an explanation of how you can achieve your 'Personal Best' during school athletics day!
Each of you will start on 100 points. For every silly mistake I find in your finished writing will cost you 5 points. Every person with a score 75 or higher will receive a prize from me at the end of the week!

Week 3 & 4
WALT - Respond to feedback/feedforward
If you have not completed your writing from last week - COMPLETE THAT FIRST so that your teacher can give you a mark and feedback!!

Now that you've received feedback, go back to your writing and make corrections according to the feedback given.
If you've finished, choose another topic and practice writing for 40 mins.
Remember to:
Plan & group ideas together
Structure paragraphs (S.E.E)
Use interesting vocab
Use connectives
Leave 5 mins at the end for editing (capital letters, full stops, read aloud)

Week 2

Testing is coming up. In order to do our best we need to make sure we aren't making silly mistake like not using full stops/capital letters or incorrect spelling.
The game and mission: You are to complete the writing task below. Each of you will start on 100 points. For every silly mistake I find in your finished writing you will loose 5 points. Every person with a score 75 or higher will receive a prize from me at the end of the week.
