Fixes/Updates
Assessments
The subject area “Alternative ABE Placement” incorrectly populated when an Alternative ESL Placement assessment was entered. This has been corrected so that the correct subject area populates for each alternative assessment. NOTE that these assessments only display in clients who have opted in to administer these assessments.
The assessment instrument CASAS Math GOALS expired on 6/30/2024 and cannot be entered with an assessed date after 6/30/2024 or moved forward. Note that this instrument is replaced by CASAS Math GOALS 2.
Class
The class checkbox field "Instruction at 9th Grade Level or Above" has been replaced with a dropdown field with "Yes" and "No" on the choice list. Changing this field to a dropdown field allows it to be required for those state clients who want this field required.
Search
The grid field search parameters "Has No Value" and "Has any value" had to be applied twice. This has been corrected.
NRS table updates
Per the NRS, changes have been made to the NRS tables that affect 23/24 reporting going forward. These changes are included in the updated NRS Technical Assistance (TA) Guide.
The following NRS tables have been updated to display rows for Alternate ABE Placement and Alternate ESL Placement. These assessments ONLY display in clients who have opted in to use alternative placements.
The following NRS tables have been updated to combine the rows:
Attained a Secondary School Diploma/Recognized Equivalent and Enrolled in Postsecondary Education or Training within one year of exit
Attained a Secondary School Diploma/Recognized Equivalent and Employed within one year of exit
Into one row:
Attained a Secondary School Diploma/Recognized Equivalent and Employed or Enrolled in Postsecondary Education or Training within one year of exit
AND
The row "Attained a Postsecondary Credential while enrolled or within one year of exit" was renamed to "Attained a Recognized Postsecondary Credential while enrolled or within one year of exit."
Per the NRS, the row "Attained any credential (unduplicated)" was removed from Table 5.
New Student Report: Potential Co-Enrollments
The Potential Co-Enrollment report returns matching students entered or migrated in agencies other than your agency. This allows you to see if the student has been assessed in another agency. This report is NOT designed to be run at the SEA but only at the local agencies.
To be returned on the report, matching students must exist and the Data Sharing Agreed field must be Yes in the student record in your agency and other agencies where the student has been entered or migrated. The Data Sharing Agreed field is located on the Student Data tab/Key Info panel.
For example, when running the report from your agency:
Data Sharing Agreed is Yes in your agency but No in another agency. The matching student is not included on the report.
Data Sharing Agreed is No in your agency but Yes in another agency. The matching student is not included on the report.
Data Sharing Agreed is Yes in your agency and Yes in another agency. The matching student is included on the report.
The Data Sharing Agreed field may be batch edited for a selection of students. Select Batch Edit at the Student area More drop-down list and check the Data Sharing Agreed row and select the value for the selected students.
