Fixes/Updates

All PoPs Summary

1. Table 5a has been added to the All PoPs Summary area.  Beginning with NRS FY 23-24, users may run Table 5a at the All PoPs Summary area and drill down to the PoPs that populate columns E and F.  Drilldowns are NOT available for prior FYs.  Users in clients who have opted in to Private Employment Data are restricted by role. 

Assessments

1. The BEST Literacy 2.0 assessment has been added to LACES. The assessment will display in clients/agencies that allow the BEST Literacy 2.0 assessment.  

Cross Agency Tracking

1. Levels were not populating when a student with a current FY assessment but no PoP was copied/linked via cross agency tracking to another agency in the client. This has been corrected. 

Field Changes

1. The ID fields at the student Education tab/Education panel associated with 3rd party assessment integrations have been updated to align with the vendor.  This ONLY affects clients who are integrated with assessment vendors. 

Staff

1. The row "Local teachers with expired credentials or certifications" on the Staff Diagnostic Search and the Staff Alerts dashboard has been updated.  

The searches will now look for staff credentials with an expiration date that is less than today's date, and then looks for a credential of the same type that either does not  have an expiration date or the expiration date is greater than or equal to today's date.   

For example:

1. • Staff person has an Adult Education credential with an expiration date of 3/1/2024. 

   • A current Adult Education credential was entered with either no expiration date, or an expiration date of 6/30/2027. 

   • Even though the staff person has an expired Adult Education credential, they also have a current Adult Education credential.  This staff person would not be returned on the diagnostic search or dashboard. 

Views

1. A new shared student view named "Student Intake Import Fields" has been added at the student area.  This view includes the BASE LACES student intake fields.  This view may be applied and exported to help prepare a student import file. Custom fields in your agency are NOT included on the view but may be added to the export file. A downloadable student import template is also available on the User News page at the Common Processes Imports link.  If you have access to the student import, it will display on the More toolbar drop down menu at the student grid.   

2. The default view "All Messages List" at the All Messages area has been updated to include the field "To Person ID."

NRS Updates

The student Outcomes tab/PoP Summary/Measurable Outcomes panel has been updated with new columns to indicate which Measurable Skill Gain (MSG) is used for Table 4 reporting, and columns to display the "break-out" of MSGs, including columns for separate IETP and Workplace Literacy MSGs by MSG type.  

The user documentation for "PoP Data Collection in LACES" has been updated to explain the new columns in the PoP record.

In the screenshot below, for example, the Table 4 MSG "source" is the attainment of a secondary school diploma/high school equivalency credential.  The student also made an EFL gain in Math for reporting on Table 4a.  

The rules have not changed; remember that students may only count on Table 4 with the MSG achieved on the later date.
