Fixes/Changes

Assessments

  1. The subtests on the HiSET assessment cards have been reordered to match the Comprehensive Score Report. This includes the official HiSET as well as the HiSET practice tests. The new order for all HiSET assessment cards are:

  • Mathematics

  • Science

  • Social Studies

  • Language Arts - Reading

  • Language Arts - Writing

  1. The Total Score has been removed from the assessment card for ALL High School Equivalency PRACTICE assessments -GED, HiSET, and TASC. This is because the Total Score record on practice tests populate differently from the Total Score record for official HSE assessments, and did not provide useful information.

  1. Levels were not populating with SPL/GLE only entered for a TABE assessment. This has been corrected.

NOTE: TABE is the only assessment that populates a level with only an SPL/GLE. SPL/GLE overrides Scaled Score to populate a level when both are entered on the assessment card or when both are imported.

  1. The message on a moved forward assessment card was missing. This has been corrected so the text "Assessment may not be edited because it has been moved forward from the previous fiscal year" displays when a moved forward assessment record is opened.

Student Intake

  1. Users were not getting an error message when Race/Ethnicity were not selected on the student intake page, or when Yes was selected for Barriers to Employment but no barriers were checked. This has been corrected.

NOTE: Literacy agencies are NOT required to select a Race whether Yes or No is selected at the field "Is this person Hispanic/Latino."

  1. The Emergency Contact fields have been added to the student intake for all clients. The emergency contact fields can be searched and added to a view EXCEPT Emergency Contact Address.

  • Emergency Contact Name

  • Emergency Contact Phone

  • Emergency Contact Address

  • Emergency Contact Relation

Student Persistence Fields

  1. The calculations for the following fields at the student Education tab/Education panel have been updated to prevent negative numbers from displaying.

Days Enrolled - Overall

    • Number of days between the first Enroll/Match Date and Exit Date (today's date if there is no Exit Date or if Exit Date is prior to last Enroll/Match Date). If first Enroll/Match Date is in the future, then Days Enrolled is 0.

Days Enrolled - Current FY

    • Number of days between the first Enroll/Match Date in the current FY and Exit Date (today's date if there is no Exit Date or if Exit Date is prior to last Enroll/Match Date). If first Enroll/Match Date is in the future, then Days Enrolled is 0.

All Non-Student Hours area

  1. A new area has been added at the More drop down called All Non-Student Hours. Staff, Tutor, and Volunteer hours will display.

All PoPs Summary

  1. When No or Don't Know/Refused was selected on the PoP Follow-up survey on questions not requiring evidence, the selection did not display the next time the student's PoP record was accessed. This has been corrected. Now, a selection of No or Don't Know/Refused will remain and a note will display indicating that the answer was per the student and the date the survey was done.

  2. Students are now removed from the Eligible for Follow-Up search once all five outcomes have been answered.

  3. The following fields have been added to the All PoPs Summary view manager:

  • Funding Stream

  • SSN

  • Correctional

  • Release Date

  1. Funding Stream and SSN have been added to the default All PoP Summary List at the All PoPs Summary area.

Class Area

  1. Imported Class Hours were not registering towards the "Instr Hrs Since Last Assess in Subj Area" field located in the student grid and assessment grid in the student record. This has been corrected.

Family Area

  1. A new family member could not be added to an existing family record. This has been corrected.

Searches

  1. The Tutor search Hours->No Instructional Hours has been updated to include Unlinked Hours and All on the "In this assignment setting" drop down list.

LACES Timeout

  1. LACES will timeout after 45 minutes of inactivity. A new message has been added that will display 5 minutes prior to the timeout allowing the user to continue working in LACES or sign out. If the timeout period has already passed by the time the user sees the message, clicking Continue will return the user to the sign in screen.
